Rat O-6-Methylguanine DNA Methyltransferase (MGMT) ELISA Kit

The MGMT repair enzyme (O-6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase) directly demethylates the O6 position of guanine in a single-step, stoichiometric reaction, neutralizing the principal cytotoxic DNA adduct produced by alkylating agents. Quantifying MGMT protein abundance in rat tissue underpins studies of alkylator chemoresistance in glioma models, N-nitroso compound hepatocarcinogenesis, and mechanistic work on environmental alkylator exposure including MNU and temozolomide.

This Assay Genie kit is supplied as a complete pack containing a pre-coated microplate, detection antibody, recombinant standard, substrate solution, and wash and dilution buffers, providing reagents for 96 individual sample determinations. The protocol accepts tissue homogenate as the input matrix, and standard laboratory tubes are used for standard and sample dilution prior to plate loading.
