Rat NTXI/Cross Linked N-telopeptide of Type I Collagen ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit provides a reliable tool for measuring Cross-Linked N-Telopeptide of Type I Collagen (NTXI) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. NTXI is recognised as a key marker of bone resorption, supporting research into bone turnover and bone-related conditions such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

Sensitivity is quoted at 1.875 ng/mL with a measuring range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions: serum 85–99% / 82–100% / 85–99%; EDTA plasma 90–103% / 82–94% / 86–99%; heparin plasma 85–101% / 88–99% / 81–100%. Recovery (n=5) averages 96% for serum (range 85–105%), 95% for EDTA plasma (90–100%) and 98% for heparin plasma (94–103%). The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
