Rat NTF4/Neurotrophin 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of NTF4/Neurotrophin 4 in rat samples. The kit uses a double-antibody detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a stated measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, wash buffer, and stop solution. All components should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. The protocol involves sequential incubation with sample, biotinylated detection antibody, and HRP-Streptavidin, followed by TMB colour development and absorbance reading at 450 nm.

Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 83–98% at 1:2, 82–99% at 1:4 and 95–104% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma 84–101%, 81–100% and 84–96% at the same dilutions; and for heparin plasma 84–99%, 81–95% and 80–100%. Average recovery is 96% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma. The kit targets the rat NTF4 protein (UniProt P34131), a neurotrophic factor associated with neuronal survival, development and synaptic function.
