Rat NT-proBNP (NT-proBNP) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of rat NT-proBNP (N-terminal prohormone of brain natriuretic peptide), an N-terminal fragment of brain natriuretic peptide associated with cardiovascular research. The assay reacts with rat samples and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant rat NT-proBNP.

Manufacturer-quoted performance figures include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 7.86 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7%, and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Recovery is reported at 89% (range 83-95%) in serum and 91% (range 85-97%) in plasma, and linearity has been characterised across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Optical density is read at 450 nm following incubation with substrate and stop solutions. The product is labelled for research use only.
