Rat Nitric oxide synthase, brain (Nos1) ELISA Kit

The reported detection range is 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.7% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.1% CV. Recovery averages 100% for serum (range 94-106%) and 102% for plasma (range 96-108%). Across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, linearity is 107-125% for serum, 96-118% for EDTA plasma and 85-110% for heparin plasma.

The target belongs to the nitric oxide synthase family and is also referred to as nNOS, BNOS, Constitutive NOS, NC-NOS, NOS type I, Neuronal NOS, N-NOS and Peptidyl-cysteine S-nitrosylase NOS1. It functions as a homodimer of 164,430 Da (UniProt P29476) that produces nitric oxide, a messenger molecule with neurotransmitter properties in the brain and peripheral nervous system. The kit is intended for research use only in neuroscience applications.
