Description

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of NGFR (also known as CD271, p75NTR, TNFRSF16, Gp80-LNGFR, or NGF receptor) in rat samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL, with an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 85-99%/86-103%/86-103% for serum, 91-99%/82-96%/83-101% for EDTA plasma, and 86-95%/84-99%/81-98% for heparin plasma. Average recovery (n=5) is 92% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The protocol involves standard/sample incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

NGFR is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily with roles in cell survival, apoptosis, and differentiation. Its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions, making it a relevant target for research into disease mechanisms and therapeutic development.
