Rat NGB/ Neuroglobin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of neuroglobin (NGB) in rat samples. The colorimetric, double-antibody assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research in signal transduction and the neurosciences. Neuroglobin is implicated in neuronal protection and oxygen homeostasis, and the kit enables investigation of its role in neurological disorders and brain injuries.

Performance is characterised by a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5) at a 1:2 dilution is 80–104%, 82–101%, and 89–104% respectively. Spike-and-recovery ranges are 82–100% in serum (average 94%), 81–99% in EDTA plasma (average 88%), and 84–99% in heparin plasma (average 92%). Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The procedure includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Supplied components comprise a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, and plate sealer.
