Rat Nephrin (NPHN) ELISA Kit

Developed to support research on glomerular filtration and podocyte injury, this rat Nephrin (NPHN) immunoassay from Assay Genie delivers a chromogenic absorbance readout across sample types including urine, kidney tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. Nephrin forms the structural backbone of the podocyte slit diaphragm, and its shedding into urine is a recognized marker of glomerular damage in experimental nephropathy models.

The kit provides pre-coated microplate wells and detection reagents for 96 individual determinations, compatible with standard absorbance plate readers. Researchers apply it to monitor podocyte loss in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, characterize congenital nephrotic models, and complement findings from western blot, immunohistochemistry, and PCR analyses of NPHN transcript levels.

For storage, keep unopened components refrigerated and protect from light; reconstituted reagents should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
