Rat N-Terminal Pro-Atrial Natriuretic Peptide/NT-pro-ANP ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of N-Terminal Pro-Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (NT-proANP) in rat samples. It is a double antibody assay with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, using colorimetric detection. The assay is reactive with rat and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

NT-proANP is a biomarker associated with the regulation of blood pressure and fluid balance, and is relevant to research into hypertension, heart failure, and kidney disease. In validation testing, linearity ranged from 86-104% for serum, 86-92% to 82-101% for EDTA plasma, and 80-98% to 83-95% for heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery averaged 96% in serum and EDTA plasma and 98% in heparin plasma. The protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm.
