Rat Myeloperoxidase (MPO) ELISA Kit

Characterize neutrophil activity in rat inflammatory disease models with this colorimetric immunoassay from Assay Genie, which quantifies myeloperoxidase (MPO), a heme-containing peroxidase released by neutrophil granulocytes during degranulation. The kit accepts serum samples, plasma, tissue homogenates prepared from organs such as the heart, lung, liver, and kidney, and cell lysate preparations, allowing investigators to monitor MPO release across systemic circulation and within target tissues. Typical applications include characterization of neutrophil infiltration in models of ischemia-reperfusion injury, atherosclerotic plaque progression, acute kidney injury, and chemically induced colitis. The assay is supplied in a 96 assays format; reagents are shipped refrigerated and should remain under cold storage until first use, while reconstituted standards are best aliquoted and frozen at -20 °C to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
