Rat Myeloperoxidase (MP0) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of myeloperoxidase (MPO) in rat-derived samples. MPO is an enzyme primarily found in neutrophils, where it contributes to the innate immune response and plays a role in inflammation and oxidative stress. Elevated levels of MPO have been associated with various inflammatory conditions, supporting its value as a biomarker in immunology research.

The assay provides a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL with a stated sensitivity of 0.44 ng/mL, and is reactive with rat. It accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant rat myeloperoxidase. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%.

Linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum (95-106%, 108-116%, 88-97%, 92-102%), EDTA plasma (89-98%, 108-117%, 107-116%, 90-102%) and heparin plasma (112-112%, 116-116%, 89-98%, 107-117%). Average recovery is 97% (range 91-103%) for serum and 99% (range 93-105%) for plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only.
