Rat Myelin basic protein S (Mbp) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Myelin basic protein S in rat samples, using a double-antibody detection format. The assay supports research into myelin biology, with myelin basic protein recognised as a key component of the myelin sheath surrounding nerve fibres in the central nervous system. Changes in its levels have been linked to multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and other demyelinating disorders.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validation data for linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions show values of 86–104%, 85–101% and 86–104% for serum (n=5); 84–97%, 82–96% and 84–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 82–100%, 80–98% and 82–97% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges were 86–101% (serum), 86–102% (EDTA plasma) and 86–104% (heparin plasma), with corresponding averages of 96%, 96% and 94%.
