Rat Mucin 5 Subtype AC (MUC5AC) ELISA Kit

A quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie, this reagent measures Mucin 5 Subtype AC (MUC5AC), a large secreted gel-forming glycoprotein that serves as the dominant mucin of the gastric surface epithelium and a major structural component of airway mucus. Preclinical investigators working on gastric disease models, including Helicobacter pylori infection and gastric carcinogenesis, as well as respiratory researchers tracking mucous cell metaplasia, goblet cell hyperplasia, and airway remodeling in conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cystic fibrosis, rely on rat MUC5AC quantification to monitor mucosal barrier changes over time.

The kit is supplied as a complete microplate format with reagents, coated wells, and standards sufficient for 96 individual reactions, and it accepts tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological sample matrices prepared from rat specimens.
