Rat MUC2 (Mucin-2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate measurement of mucin 2 levels in rat samples, with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. The kit is intended for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses colorimetric detection in a double-antibody sandwich format.

Mucin 2 is a key protein responsible for maintaining the protective mucosal barrier in the gastrointestinal tract, and its dysregulation has been linked to inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, and other gastrointestinal disorders. All reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples, and blanks onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody and then HRP-streptavidin, developing with TMB substrate in the dark, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Linearity has been validated in serum (87–105%), EDTA plasma (85–100%), and heparin plasma (81–100%), with average recovery values of 98% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 98% for heparin plasma.
