Rat Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a) ELISA Kit

Quantitative measurement of methionine adenosyltransferase 1 alpha in rat samples is supported by the Assay Genie Rat MAT1a ELISA Kit, a colorimetric immunoassay applied in hepatic metabolism research. MAT1a is the liver-enriched enzyme that catalyzes formation of S-adenosylmethionine from ATP and methionine, and quantification of this enzyme underpins investigations of methionine cycle flux, one-carbon metabolism, and cellular methylation capacity. The assay is validated for tissue homogenates and applies to rat models of alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and hepatic injury where MAT1a expression is known to decline. The 96-assay plate format accommodates longitudinal study designs, with prepared samples loaded into the wells of a microplate and absorbance read on a standard plate reader.
