Rat Metallothionein/MT ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative detection of metallothionein (MT) in rat samples. The double-antibody, colorimetric format is suited to research on metal homeostasis, detoxification, and antioxidant defence, including investigations into heavy metal poisoning, neurodegenerative disease, and cancer.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The assay procedure covers reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding the stop solution.
