Rat MDA (Malonaldehyde) ELISA Kit (RTFI01449)

The Assay Genie Rat MDA (Malondialdehyde) ELISA Kit relies on a competitive immunoassay to quantify malondialdehyde, a stable end-product of polyunsaturated fatty acid peroxidation and a widely used biomarker of oxidative stress in preclinical research. Rat-matched antibodies drive the readout, and no significant cross-reactivity has been observed with structurally related aldehydes or with hemolysed matrix components.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate and reagents sufficient for the 96 Assays format, with a 50 uL sample volume added per well alongside serial calibrators. After the supplied stop reagent, absorbance is measured and concentrations are interpolated from the standard curve. Reconstituted standards and stock antibodies should be aliquoted and stored refrigerated to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and unused plate strips resealed with desiccant to protect from light and moisture. Intended for in vitro research use only, the assay supports antioxidant studies, toxicology screening, and disease models where lipid peroxidation is implicated.
