Rat MCP3/CCL7 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of rat MCP-3/CCL7, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric, double-antibody immunoassay format. The assay is suitable for rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is supplied with the components required to run the workflow, including a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, and the appropriate dilution and wash buffers.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was 91–104%, 83–100% and 83–93% in serum (n=5); 86–92%, 87–99% and 88–96% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 86–101%, 88–98% and 81–98% in heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery averaged 97% across all three matrices (n=5 each), with recovery ranges of 87–104% in serum, 90–102% in EDTA plasma, and 93–99% in heparin plasma. The standard protocol comprises a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute detection antibody binding step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, 10–20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

MCP-3/CCL7 is a C-C motif chemokine involved in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation, and is a relevant biomarker for research into autoimmune disease, inflammatory conditions and cancer.
