Rat MCP-1/CCL2 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1), also known as C-C motif chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2), in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL.

MCP-1 is a key chemokine involved in the recruitment of monocytes and other immune cells to sites of inflammation, and has been implicated in inflammatory processes including atherosclerosis, arthritis, and kidney disorders. The protocol uses TMB substrate colour development with absorbance measured at 450 nm, and unopened kits should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
