Rat Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13) ELISA Kit

Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13), also called collagenase 3, is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase that cleaves type II collagen and other extracellular matrix components. The Assay Genie rat MMP13 ELISA kit quantifies this enzyme in liquid samples collected during preclinical studies of joint, bone, and connective tissue biology.

Investigators working with rat models commonly use this reagent to track MMP13 dynamics in experimentally induced osteoarthritis (MIA injection or ACLT transection models), cartilage degradation studies, and subchondral bone remodeling. Additional applications include liver fibrosis research (CCL4 or bile duct ligation models), cardiac matrix turnover after myocardial infarction, periodontal disease models, and wound healing assays.
