Rat Matrix Extracellular Phosphoglycoprotein (MEPE) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a quantitative immunoassay for measuring circulating Matrix Extracellular Phosphoglycoprotein (MEPE) in rat specimens. MEPE is a secreted extracellular matrix phosphoglycoprotein involved in skeletal mineralization, phosphate homeostasis, and tooth development, originally characterized through studies of tumor-induced osteomalacia. Quantification of MEPE concentrations in circulation is useful for investigators studying bone metabolism disorders, chronic kidney disease-mineral bone disorder, dental biology, and phosphate regulatory pathways in rodent models.

Configured as a 96-assay microplate kit, the product includes a precoated plate, recombinant rat MEPE reference standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer concentrate, TMB substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient for a complete plate run. The capture and detection antibody pair is specific to rat MEPE. A standard curve generated from serial dilutions of the recombinant reference standard allows interpolation of unknown sample concentrations through colorimetric measurement.
