Rat MAOB/Monoamine Oxidase B ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Monoamine Oxidase B (MAOB) in rat samples. MAOB is an enzyme that plays a key role in the metabolism of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin, and dysregulation of MAOB activity has been linked to neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease and depression, making it an important target for research and drug development.

The assay uses a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit has a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a measurement range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Spiking recovery is 88-102% (average 93%) for serum, 87-105% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 89-99% (average 93%) for heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 87-95%, 85-101%, and 90-99% for serum; 86-102%, 84-99%, and 80-92% for EDTA plasma; and 87-95%, 94-100%, and 82-100% for heparin plasma. The procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.

Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual. The kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.
