Rat Mannose Binding Lectin/Mannose Binding Protein ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Mannose Binding Lectin (MBL), also known as Mannose Binding Protein, in rat samples using a colorimetric, double antibody method. MBL is a key component of the innate immune system that recognises and clears pathogens by binding to specific sugar molecules on microorganism surfaces, and its dysregulation has been linked to infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with serum (n = 5) at 85-101%, 87-96%, and 87-95% respectively, EDTA plasma (n = 5) at 82-98%, 87-100%, and 83-101%, and heparin plasma (n = 5) at 84-99%, 83-99%, and 81-99%. Recovery testing returned 85-105% (average 96%) for serum, 85-105% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 87-104% (average 95%) for heparin plasma.
