Rat MAG (Myelin Associated Glycoprotein) ELISA Kit (RTES01075)

The Rat MAG (Myelin Associated Glycoprotein) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a quantitative tool for measuring MAG, a Siglec-4 family cell adhesion glycoprotein predominantly expressed on oligodendrocytes and Schwann cells. MAG is a key structural component of myelin sheaths and mediates axon-glia interactions that maintain axonal integrity in both the central and peripheral nervous systems.

This assay supports research on demyelinating disorders, multiple sclerosis models, Schwann cell biology, and peripheral nerve regeneration studies. Altered MAG expression is a recognized biomarker in conditions such as traumatic nerve injury, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, and age-related white matter decline.
