Rat M-CSF ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) in rat samples, run as a double-antibody assay with colorimetric detection. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity confirmed against rat M-CSF (UniProt Q8JZQ0). Listed synonyms include M-CSF, MCSF, CSF1 and CSF-1, and the kit is intended for use within immunology research.

Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity (n = 5) was 90–105%, 96–105% and 88–100% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum; 83–101%, 82–98% and 86–94% for EDTA plasma; and 80–94%, 85–100% and 84–97% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averaged 96% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma.

The protocol uses a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months, protected from direct light where indicated.
