Rat Lumican ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of lumican in rat samples, the Rat Lumican ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a sandwich (double antibody) format enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the kit is intended for research use only.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. An antibody specific to the target protein is pre-coated onto the wells of a 96-well microplate; samples and standards are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated streptavidin. TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, with concentration determined against a standard curve. A validated Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification and sample normalisation.

Reported recovery values are: Serum (n=5) 86-105% with an average of 96%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) 88-102% with an average of 95%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) 89-101% with an average of 98%. Linearity values across dilutions 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 are 86-105%, 87-104% and 86-100% for serum; 83-96%, 89-101% and 85-95% for EDTA plasma; and 81-92%, 82-99% and 87-98% for heparin plasma. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
