Rat LPL/Lipoprotein Lipase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in rat samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an analytical range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (82-99% at 1:2, 82-91% at 1:4, 84-96% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (87-100%, 85-95%, 80-98%) and heparin plasma (85-96%, 86-97%, 82-101%). Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (88-105%, average 98%), EDTA plasma (91-105%, average 94%) and heparin plasma (88-100%, average 94%).

Lipoprotein lipase is described as a key enzyme in lipid metabolism, playing a role in triglyceride breakdown and the regulation of blood lipid levels, with dysregulation linked to obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The kit is for research use, is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and is read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.
