Rat Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 2 (Lrp2) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of rat Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 2 (Lrp2), also referred to as Glycoprotein 330, Megalin, gp330, or LRP-2. The assay is reactive with rat and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The kit demonstrates a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.312 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Recovery in serum averages 98% (range 92–104%) and in plasma averages 100% (range 94–106%). The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant rat Lrp2 and is intended for research use only within the cardiovascular research area.

The target protein Lrp2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein localised to the cell membrane and clathrin-coated pits. It functions alongside cubilin to mediate HDL endocytosis and serves as a receptor for the uptake of polybasic drugs such as aprotinin, aminoglycosides, and polymyxin B.
