Rat Long-chain fatty acid transport protein 1/Slc27a1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Slc27a1, the rat long-chain fatty acid transport protein 1 (also referred to as SLC27A1 and FATP-1). The assay uses a double antibody detection format and is validated for use with rat serum and plasma samples.

Sensitivity is quoted at 0.188 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is for Research Use Only. Intra-assay precision is CV <8% and inter-assay precision is CV <10%.

Spike-and-recovery testing gave average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 85-102%), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 92-105%) and 94% for UFH plasma (range 85-102%). Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 fell within 85-104% for serum, 86-100% for EDTA plasma and 80-95% for UFH plasma. The target protein mediates the ATP-dependent import of long-chain fatty acids across the plasma membrane and contributes acyl-CoA ligase activity for long-chain and very-long-chain fatty acids, with the NCBI summary noting its involvement in myocardial fatty acid uptake (UniProt P97849).
