Rat Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein/LBP ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) in rat samples. Using a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout, it provides a reliable tool for research into innate immune responses, including the recognition and binding of bacterial endotoxins, as well as studies of inflammatory processes, sepsis, and related immune conditions.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is 37.5 pg/mL with a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with standards suitable for -20°C storage up to 12 months. Linearity has been demonstrated in spiked serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with recovery ranging from 85-104% across these matrices.

The assay procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding, with TMB substrate development and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. The protocol includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and SABC incubation for 30 minutes, followed by 10–20 minutes of color development in the dark.
