Rat Lipocalin-2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1672)

Lipocalin-2 (LCN2), also called neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) or 24p3, is a ~25 kDa secreted glycoprotein of the lipocalin carrier-protein superfamily. In rat models it is widely studied as an early biomarker of acute kidney injury, where circulating levels rise within hours of tubular damage, and as a mediator of inflammation, sepsis, obesity, insulin resistance, and certain tumor settings. This Assay Genie reagent kit applies a quantitative two-antibody ELISA architecture on a 96-assay microplate, using matched rat-specific capture and detection antibodies and an absorbance-based enzymatic readout developed on a standard plate reader. The assay is intended for quantitative measurement in rat serum or plasma samples and in cell culture supernatant. Reconstituted standard and antibody vials should be aliquoted and kept frozen to limit freeze-thaw loss, and the unused microplate strips are stored refrigerated until first use.
