Rat Lipocalin-2/NGAL ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Lipocalin-2/NGAL (Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich configuration and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Key performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and an assay range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL, with the colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. A Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification to support sample normalization.

Lipocalin-2 is implicated in inflammation, iron transport and kidney injury, and elevated levels have been associated with conditions such as acute kidney injury, sepsis and various cancers, supporting its use as a biomarker in rat research models.
