Rat LDL R/LDL Receptor ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's rat-specific ELISA kit is a sandwich-format immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of the LDL receptor (LDL-R), a key cell-surface receptor involved in regulating cholesterol uptake from the bloodstream. The kit is intended for use with rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is suited to research areas such as metabolism, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma falls within 81-103% across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n = 5), and recovery ranges from 85-105% with averages of 91% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma) and 96% (heparin plasma). The plate is read at 450 nm after addition of TMB substrate and stop solution, following incubation with biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate.
