Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection (TMB substrate, read at 450 nm) for the quantitative determination of L-Selectin in rat samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Unopened kit components are intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.

L-Selectin, also known as CD62L (Uniprot P30836), is a cell adhesion molecule implicated in immune cell trafficking and inflammatory responses, and this product is listed under the Cell Biology research area. Other reported synonyms for the target include SELL, TQ1, LAM-1, LECAM1, Leu-8, gp90-MEL, Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1, Leukocyte surface antigen Leu-8, Leukocyte adhesion molecule 1, and CD62 antigen-like family member L.

Reported validation includes linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) ranged 88–104%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged 84–99%, and heparin plasma (n=5) ranged 80–99%. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) was 85–105% (average 95%) for serum, 90–99% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 92–103% (average 98%) for heparin plasma. The procedure incubates standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, then adds a biotinylated detection antibody (37°C, 60 minutes), HRP-streptavidin (37°C, 30 minutes), and TMB substrate (10–20 minutes in the dark) before stop solution and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
