Rat Kynurenine--oxoglutarate transaminase 1, mitochondrial (Ccbl1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of rat Kynurenine--oxoglutarate transaminase 1, mitochondrial (Ccbl1). The assay is reactive with rat samples and is intended for research use only.

Key performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data are provided with the kit. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant rat Ccbl1. The target protein is a homodimer localised in the mitochondrial matrix (Isoform 1) and functions as a pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase that catalyses the irreversible transamination of the L-tryptophan metabolite L-kynurenine to form kynurenic acid (KA). It also metabolises the cysteine conjugates of certain halogenated alkenes and alkanes to form reactive metabolites, and catalyses the beta-elimination of S- and Se-conjugates of L-(seleno)cysteine, resulting in cleavage of the C-S or C-Se bond.

Accepted sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Optical density is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader following addition of the substrate and stop solutions.
