Rat KMO ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit designed for the precise measurement of Kynurenine 3-Monooxygenase (KMO) levels in rat samples. KMO is a key enzyme in the kynurenine pathway, which plays a crucial role in the metabolism of tryptophan and the production of neuroactive metabolites. Dysregulation of this pathway has been linked to various neurological and psychiatric disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, and neurodegenerative diseases. The kit is intended for research applications in the area of metabolism.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a range of 0.781-50 ng/mL, using a colorimetric detection method with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity performance across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 87-105%, 82-96% and 82-95% for serum (n = 5); 89-105%, 88-99% and 81-93% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 85-104%, 83-100% and 81-95% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery ranges were 87-105% (average 95%) for serum, 90-105% (average 100%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-105% (average 97%) for heparin plasma.
