Rat KeRat in 18 (KRT18) ELISA Kit

Keratin 18 (KRT18) is a type I intermediate filament protein expressed abundantly in simple epithelia and hepatocytes, where it maintains cytoskeletal integrity. Circulating levels of this protein rise when epithelial cells undergo necrosis or caspase-mediated apoptosis, which makes KRT18 a widely followed biomarker in rodent models of liver injury, drug-induced hepatotoxicity, and epithelial tumor biology.
