Rat KAP/Kidney androgen-regulated protein ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Kidney Androgen-Regulated Protein (KAP) in rat samples. The assay delivers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. Detection is colorimetric, and the kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been established for serum (89–93%, 86–105%, 87–100% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions), EDTA plasma (85–98%, 82–96%, 83–101%) and heparin plasma (81–100%, 81–99%, 84–100%). Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as 88–96% with an average of 93% for serum, 90–97% with an average of 94% for EDTA plasma, and 86–104% with an average of 96% for heparin plasma.

The workflow involves a 90 minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60 minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30 minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution is added. Sample preparation protocols cover serum (clot, centrifuge at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, centrifuge at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatant and cell lysates.
