Rat Interleukin 19 (IL-19) ELISA Kit

Interleukin-19 (IL-19) is a member of the IL-10 cytokine family, preferentially expressed in keratinocytes, monocytes, and epithelial cells, where it contributes to Th2-skewed inflammatory signaling and has been studied in models of psoriasis, allergic airway inflammation, and tissue remodeling. This Assay Genie rat IL-19 ELISA enables quantitative measurement of endogenous IL-19 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants, supporting research into cytokine network regulation in rodent disease models.

Each kit contains a 96-well plate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, concentrated wash buffer, TMB substrate solution, and stop reagent, along with a protocol insert. Sample volume required is 100 uL per well, with an overnight primary incubation at 4 degrees C followed by a 1-hour detection step and final absorbance read at 450 nm.

Unopened kits should be refrigerated; reconstituted standards and diluted serum or plasma samples should be aliquoted and kept frozen at -20 degrees C to limit freeze-thaw degradation. The assay is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic procedures. Performance characteristics have been validated for rat samples, with no significant cross-reactivity observed against related IL-10 family cytokines such as IL-20, IL-22, or IL-24 within the standard curve working range, making the panel useful when mapping parallel cytokine pathways in the rat.
