Rat Insulin-like growth factor II (Igf2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of rat Insulin-like growth factor II (IGF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant rat IGF2, corresponding to UniProt entry P01346, with a reported molecular weight of 20,086 Da. Alternative names recognised for the target include Multiplication-stimulating activity, Multiplication-stimulating polypeptide, MSA, IGF-II and Igf-2.

Manufacturer-reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.66 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is given as 4.2% and inter-assay precision as 8.6%. Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (87–100%, 102–114%, 101–110% and 94–104%), EDTA plasma (110–119%, 101–111%, 104–113% and 98–107%) and heparin plasma (101–110%, 98–110%, 81–94% and 107–116%). Average recovery is 87% in serum (range 81–93%) and 89% in plasma (range 83–95%).
