Description

Designed by Assay Genie for rat samples, this inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) ELISA kit uses a sandwich, double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. iNOS is an enzyme that produces nitric oxide, a signaling molecule involved in immune responses, inflammation, and oxidative stress, making it a valuable biomarker for related research. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Synonyms associated with the target include NOS2, iNOS, NOS2A, HEP-NOS, I-NOS, and Hepatocyte NOS.

Linearity (n = 5) was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Serum values were 94–105%, 85–101%, and 85–105%; EDTA plasma 89–100%, 92–101%, and 88–101%; heparin plasma 82–98%, 80–98%, and 82–88%. Recovery ranges and averages: serum 89–101% (average 94%), EDTA plasma 86–103% (average 96%), heparin plasma 85–103% (average 94%). Unopened kit storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow covers reagent and plate preparation, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm.
