Rat Inhibin beta B chain (Inhbb) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of rat Inhibin beta B chain (Inhbb), also referred to as Activin beta-B chain, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method, recognises natural and recombinant rat Inhibin beta B chain, and is classified for signal transduction research applications. According to the manufacturer's overview, the analyte is a secreted homodimer or heterodimer involved in regulating pituitary follitropin secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and other diverse functions, and has been associated with reproductive disorders including infertility and polycystic ovary syndrome.

The assay has an reported detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a reported sensitivity of 0.418ng/mL. Precision values are reported as intra-assay CV of 6.2% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Linearity in serum is reported across dilutions of 1:2 (107-118%), 1:4 (88-98%), 1:8 (106-116%) and 1:16 (106-118%); in EDTA plasma the corresponding figures are 1:2 (82-91%), 1:4 (86-95%), 1:8 (93-105%) and 1:16 (80-90%); and in heparin plasma 1:2 (88-97%), 1:4 (107-117%), 1:8 (101-111%) and 1:16 (91-101%).
