Rat Inhibin A ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of inhibin A in rat samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay supports research into reproductive biology, where inhibin A suppresses follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion and where its dysregulation has been linked to infertility, ovarian cancer, and other reproductive disorders.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 90–98% at 1:2, 85–101% at 1:4, and 93–105% at 1:8, with EDTA plasma and heparin plasma similarly characterised. Spike-and-recovery gave averages of 95% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 100% for heparin plasma. Components are stored at 2–8°C (with certain items also stable at -20°C) for up to 12 months, away from direct light where indicated.

The workflow involves primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB color development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
