Rat IMA (Ischemia Modified Albumin) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of ischemia-modified albumin (IMA) in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format provides a sensitivity of 3.75 ng/mL with a working range of 6.25–400 ng/mL. IMA is recognised as a marker of oxidative stress and ischemic conditions, supporting research into cardiac ischemia, stroke, and related disorders.

Workflow: equilibrate reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, load standards, samples and a zero control onto the pre-coated plate, incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes for antigen binding, add the biotin-labelled detection antibody for a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, bind HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, develop colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, then stop the reaction and read absorbance at 450 nm. Sample preparation notes cover serum (clot, centrifuge at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, centrifuge at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and cell lysates. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Reported linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions falls within approximately 82–105% for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average spike-recovery of 98% (serum), 96% (EDTA plasma) and 99% (heparin plasma).
