Rat IL-4 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Interleukin-4 (IL-4) in rat samples. Built on a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The standard curve covers a range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL with a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL, and unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow begins with equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, after which standards, samples and controls are loaded onto the pre-coated plate and incubated at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added for a 60-minute incubation, followed by HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is added and developed in the dark for 10–20 minutes before the stop solution is introduced and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

IL-4 is a key cytokine with important roles in immune response regulation, allergic reactions and inflammation, and is studied in the context of asthma, allergies and autoimmune diseases.
