The Rat IL-21 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures interleukin-21 in rat-derived matrices using a pre-coated microplate format. Interleukin-21 is a type I cytokine produced by activated CD4+ T cells and Tfh lymphocytes that drives B-cell differentiation, germinal center formation, and Th17 polarization, making accurate quantitation valuable in immunology, vaccine response, autoimmune disease, and inflammation research. Each well requires a 100 µL sample volume drawn from cell culture supernatant, plasma, or serum, with standard curves generated from supplied recombinant rat IL-21 calibrators. Reagents are shipped refrigerated and should be stored cold upon receipt; reconstituted standards and the streptavidin-HRP conjugate remain stable for up to two weeks under refrigerated conditions, while the complete kit retains activity through the labeled expiration when unopened.
