Rat IL-1RA/IL-1 receptor alpha ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format for the precise quantification of IL-1RA (Interleukin 1 Receptor Antagonist) in rat samples. The assay is reactive with rat and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with read-out at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measurable range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been characterised across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with serum recoveries averaging 97%, EDTA plasma 90% and heparin plasma 94%. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months, with selected components also suitable for -20°C storage as indicated in the manual.

IL-1RA is a competitive inhibitor of interleukin-1 binding to its receptor and plays a critical role in regulating the inflammatory response.
