Rat IL-1A/IL-1 alpha ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the measurement of rat IL-1A (Interleukin-1 alpha) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double antibody sandwich format provides a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a detection range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL, with colour developed using TMB substrate and absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validated linearity has been demonstrated across serum (83-105%), EDTA plasma (82-104%) and heparin plasma (80-99%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8. Spike-and-recovery performance shows averages of 98% for serum (range 85-103%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 92-99%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 95-102%). The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples for incubation at 37°C, binding with a biotin-labelled detection antibody, adding HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and colour development with TMB in the dark for 10-20 minutes.
