Rat IL-18 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of Interleukin-18 (IL-18) in rat samples. The kit is a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Storage is recommended at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity in serum across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 falls within 92-100%, 88-105%, and 89-105% respectively; EDTA plasma within 86-99%, 82-90%, 87-96%; and heparin plasma within 84-100%, 87-99%, 80-104%. Recovery ranges are 93-99% (serum, average 93%), 92-99% (EDTA plasma, average 96%), and 86-99% (heparin plasma, average 93%).

The workflow involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
