Rat IL-17F ELISA Kit (RTEB1290)

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the measurement of Interleukin-17F (IL-17F) in rat samples. The kit is reactive with rat and is intended for research use only, with applications in immunology research.

The assay covers a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 8.1pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 5.2% (CV) and inter-assay precision at 10.2% (CV). Specificity is confirmed for natural and recombinant rat Interleukin-17F. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

IL-17F is a secreted homodimeric cytokine that functions as a ligand for IL17RA and IL17RC. It can also form a heterodimer with IL17A that signals through the IL17RA/IL17RC complex. The cytokine stimulates production of IL-6, IL-8 and CSF2, regulates cartilage matrix turnover, stimulates proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and T-cells, and inhibits angiogenesis. It plays a role in inducing pulmonary neutrophilia and in exacerbating antigen-induced pulmonary allergic inflammation, and is described as a key cytokine involved in inflammatory responses and autoimmune diseases in rodents.
